Huntly manager Gregg Carrol is still hurting after watching Banks o’ Dee beat his side 4-1 in the Aberdeenshire Cup on Wednesday night.
The four-time championship-winning manager is looking for an improvement against Forres at Mosset Park this afternoon.
Carrol said: “I would just like us to play for 90 minutes rather than just 45. We have done really well in the first half of most games this season, including last Wednesday night against Banks o’ Dee, but we seem unable to sustain it. That definitely needs to change.
“I put it down to a lack of concentration. We were drawing 1-1 in midweek but then lost a bad goal which immediately put us on the back foot.”
Huntly will be without defenders Sam McKenzie, Neale Davidson and Alex Thoirs while centre half Mark Lawson is on holiday and midfielder Davie Christie has work commitments.
Mechanics will again be without Georgian midfielder Dachi Khutsishvili who has a hamstring injury but forward Lee Fraser, who came off at half time in the 5-2 win over Rothes on Tuesday night with a shoulder injury, should be fit to start.
Buckie Thistle will try to rally from the 8-1 home defeat at the hands of Brora Rangers when they face a full-strength Fraserburgh at Bellslea.
The Jags welcome back central defenders Lewis MacKinnon and Iain MacRae from suspension while midfielder Jay Cheyne and veteran forward Dennis Wyness have recovered from injury.
Deveronvale are expected to hand a home debut to former Aberdeen and Buckie Thistle midfielder Kevin Souter when they entertain a full-strength Formartine United at Princess Royal Park.
Nairn County are expected to show faith in the men who came back from a goal down at Strathspey Thistle in midweek to win 2-1 while this afternoon’s Station Park opponents, Lossiemouth, have defender Bryan Bell unavailable, but 41-year-old forward Ryan Green and midfielder Ryan Farquhar both return from holiday.
