Our early season promise somewhat stalled on Saturday.
Two good wins in the first two games followed by great performances against the very top sides in the league allowed the Maroon faithful to be a wee bit optimist ahead of our clash with Fraserburgh.
Yet again, the Broch put a very good performance to maintain their status as a bogey opposition for us. That’s now six years since we have beaten them at Kynoch Park.
It definitely wasn’t all bad though. Once Fraserburgh grabbed their deserved two goal lead, we really did step up into the game. A couple of really good substitutions made us a threat everytime we drove forward. We got the goal back that our attacking play deserved and really pushed to get something out of the game right up until the final whistle.
It wasn’t to be though and lets put this one behind us, focus on the positives from the start to the season and move on to Merkinch this Saturday. It will be a really tough match against a Clach side which has been scoring goals for fun.
There is guaranteed to be better days to come at Kynoch Park this season.
