Wick Academy have won the North of Scotland cup, after seeing off Nairn County 6-2 in the final this afternoon.
Wick raced into a 3-0 half time lead courtesy of goals from Richard Macadie, Gary Weir and Sam Mackay. Alan Pollock pulled a goal back for Nairn after the break but Joe Steven, Weir and Grant Campbell put Wick 6-1 ahead before Nairn netted a late consolation goal through Sam Urquhart.
Elsewhere, Formartine and Brora kept the three way title race alive with Cove with comfortable victories.
Cove secured a 3-0 victory over Huntly on Friday night but Brora went four goals better to return to the top of the league on goal difference with a 7-0 win over Rothes, while Formartine beat Inverurie 4-0 at North Lodge Park.
