It was Christmas shopping for me on Saturday after Keith’s match at Fort William was postponed due, surprise surprise , to Claggan Park being waterlogged.
It’s the same old story year after year, the poor men from the foot of the Ben have to contend with the horrendous rainy conditions, it must do their heads in.
Anyway, as far as Keith are concerned we are two games into the second half of fixtures for the season, and although you hear the usual doom and gloom on the sparsely populated Kynoch Park terraces, we have actually improved since last season.
Stats don’t lie, and it’s a fact that after 19 league games we have accumulated 24 points. That equals the total for the entire season last year, so with 15 games left to gather more points, the boys must be doing something right.
Although Alan Hale isn’t going to wave a magic wand, so far he has been clinical in his appraisal of the current Keith playing staff, and everybody is going to get a fair crack of the whip.
If they don’t take that opportunity, and I would like to think that they do, then they will be replaced by other more fitting bodies. Rise to the challenge lads and be part of a Keith FC revival.
We have a proud history and have also won honours in recent years as well, whilst some of the huge spenders still have empty sideboards – money doesn’t always buy success!
