Brora Rangers manager Richard Brittain is refusing to pay any attention to those claiming they are favourites to retain their Highland League title.
All three title challengers won in midweek meaning it is as you were at the top of the table, with Brora three points clear of Cove Rangers and four points ahead of Formartine United, both of whom have played a game less than the leaders.
Brora have been tipped as title favourites but Brittain, whose side hosts Inverurie Locos today, believes it is too early to be making predictions about the destination of the championship.
He said: “Some people say we are now favourites for the title but that’s something I’ve never paid any attention to.
“No doubt there will be twists and turns in the weeks ahead but we are in there challenging and that’s where we want to be. We look no further ahead than the next game.”
Deveronvale, who led briefly at Formartine on Wednesday before losing 4-1, make the short trip to Buckie for their derby against the Jags at Victoria Park.
Buckie will be in good spirits after their impressive 3-1 win at Wick despite having just 12 players in their squad.
Huntly hope to build on their 2-0 win against Rothes when they host Nairn County at Christie Park. County will be without midfielder Gregg Main following his midweek red card against Cove Rangers.
Clach make the trip to Strathspey Thistle.
