Two goals in the opening eight minutes of the second half helped Wick see off Fort William at Claggan Park.
In the 20th minute a great ball in from Fort’s Scott Davidson found Martin Munro, but he planted his header into the ground and up over the crossbar.
Wick made him pay just a minute later when a ball in from the right picked out Marc MacGregor and he scored from six yards.
Five minutes into the second half a throw from left was only partially cleared by Fort goalkeeper Robin Harvey and Steven Anderson scored from 12 yards.
Three minutes later Davie Allan raced through the home defence and poked the ball home from six yards to put the game beyond Fort.
Davidson pulled one back in the 57th minute when he controlled a ball down the left flank, cut inside and powered a shot into the net from 18 yards.
