Caley Thistle manager Richie Foran has told his players to step performance up another level despite stretching the club’s unbeaten run to four games with Saturday’s 3-1 win against Dundee.
Inverness have recovered from a poor start to the Premiership season with Saturday’s victory against the Dark Blues moving them up to eighth in the table.
Caley Jags face Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park on Saturday in the final fixture before the international break, and although he is pleased with recent results, Foran believes there is still room for improvement.
He said: “We’re going up the table. We’re always looking to catch the team that’s above us and we’re going in the right direction.
“We’ve had a bad spell but that’s out the way now. Hamilton is a tough place to go. They’ve got some really good young players. We’ll be up against it. It’s a really tough place to go. We’re going to have to be better than we were against Dundee.
“We were ruthless on Saturday, but in possession there’s a lot more still to come from us.”
A key figure in Saturday’s win was defender Brad McKay, who joined Caley Jags from St Johnstone last month.
McKay has made the right back position his own ahead of David Raven and Foran has been pleased with the 23-year-old’s impact, adding: “It was fantastic composure from Brad – that’s what I’m looking for. He was excellent and played on through a bad knock in the first half.
“Brad is very low maintenance. I wouldn’t know he’s around the place until he gets on the training ground where he turns into a leader.”
