Caley Thistle remain bottom of the Scottish Premiership on goal difference after grinding out a goalless draw with Partick Thistle in a forgettable match at Caledonian Stadium.
All the action came in the first half of a poor match in the Highlands with Liam Polworth’s shot, which was saved by Tomas Cerny, the closest the home side came to a goal against the Jags.
Partick Thistle were the better side for most of the first half and it required three saves from Owain Fon Williams to prevent the visitors from taking the lead.
The Wales international parried Ryan Edwards’ 30-yard shot, tipped a point blank effort from Ade Azeez on to the crossbar and parried a Chris Erskine 20 yard drive as Jags threatened.
But Inverness finished the first half strongly with Liam Polworth seeing his shot saved by Tomas Cerny before substitute Iain Vigurs angled his shot wide of goal just before the break.
Tremarco fired over the bar early in the second half too but Caley Thistle’s bright start to the second half petered out with neither side managing to trouble the respective goalkeepers.
Substitute Aaron Doran came close with a curling effort from the edge of the box which went just wide of Tomas Cerny’s left post as Inverness rallied in the closing stages but their late pressure came to nothing.
