Caley Thistle manager Richie Foran has issued a rallying cry on behalf of his club after calling on his side to show no fear in the remaining five Scottish Premiership matches.
Inverness are five points adrift at the bottom of the division and Foran believes the fact his players have been written off as heading for the Championship next season means they have to go for broke in the remaining post-split matches, starting with the trip to Ross County on April 28.
Foran said: “We’ve got a fantastic derby to look forward to and we’ll go to Ross County and be fearless as we’ve nothing to lose now. We have to go all out for the wins.
“I’m fully committed to the cause, the club and the city. I love the place and I’m hurting but I’m going to keep positive until the end of the season.
“The players have to stand up and be better than they have been, that’s the only way we can change this.”
Foran was unhappy with his side’s poor defensive showing in Saturday’s 4-2 defeat at Motherwell and has told his players they have to be better at the back if they are to have any chance of hauling themselves out of the mire.
He said: “We created chances against Motherwell and their goalkeeper was outstanding for them.
“At 2-2 there was only one team going to win it and it was us and it is frustrating that once again we played well for large stages of the game and have come away with nothing.
“We cannot keep letting crosses into the box or letting our markers get away from us as we are going to keep conceding goals if we do.
“We’ve got to get tighter and mark better. We’ve been working on it but every cross Motherwell got in they had free men in the box and we don’t seem to be able to do that.
“There is no magic man who can come in, not another five or six players who can come in and help us out.
“We’ve got to stick together and we will stick together for the big matches that are coming up now.
“I’d happily settle for five terrible, poor performances and three points from each of our remaining games.”
Carl Tremarco will be assessed in the next fortnight after limping off with a knee injury at Fir Park.
