Caley Thistle have joined the race for out-of-contract Cove Rangers midfielder Blair Yule.
Peterhead manager Jim McInally has offered the 25-year-old midfielder a contract but faces competition for the player as clubs in the Championship and League 1 consider making a move for the player.
Inverness have expressed an interest in bringing Yule, who had a spell on trial with Doncaster Rovers last season, to Caledonian Stadium despite not having a manager.
Dundee United, who missed out on promotion to the Premiership in the play-off final defeat to Hamilton, have also offered Yule a chance of a deal by inviting him on trial, while League 2 champions Arbroath, managed by Dick Campbell, are monitoring developments as they bid to bolster their squad for League 1.
Blue Toon manager McInally had hoped to see Yule commit his future to the Balmoor club upon the players’ return from holiday this week but the growing interest in the Cove midfielder could scupper those plans.
