Dundee are considering making a pre-contract move for Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Shaun Rooney. It is understood the 23-year-old right-back is on the Dark Blues’ radar. He will be out of contract in the summer so the Dens Park club will be able to start talks if they step-up their interest. Rooney is a first team regular with John Robertson’s side and was one of the star turns in last weekend’s comprehensive victory over Dee. He has previously played for Queen’s Park, Dunfermline, York City and Queen of the South.
