Caley Thistle defender Jamie McCart has signed a pre-contract agreement to join St Johnstone in the summer.
The 22 year-old has reportedly signed a two-year deal to move to McDiarmid Park in the summer but Saints boss Tommy Wright has not given up hope of bringing McCart to Perth before the window closes next Friday.
Inverness have already lost Coll Donaldson this month after the defender completed a move to Ross County last week and Saints are keen on making a double swoop for Inverness defenders after making a move to land right back Shaun Rooney.
Rooney is also attracting interest from Championship side Dundee but Saints boss Wright hopes he can also convince the full back to put pen to paper on a pre-contract this week.
