Caley Thistle have agreed to sell defender Jamie McCart to Premiership side St Johnstone after the two clubs struck a deal.
McCart, whose Inverness deal was due to expire in the summer, had already agreed a pre-contract to move to McDiarmid Park at the end of the season.
Saints manager Tommy Wright has moved to bring in the 22-year-old before Friday’s transfer deadline, with paperwork still being finalised in order to complete the switch.
McCart could make his Saints debut in Wednesday’s home match against his former club Celtic.
