Inverness striker James Keatings will finally learn if he is to be handed a cup final reprieve at another Hampden hearing today.
The Highland outfit appealed against the second yellow card shown to Keatings, pictured left, for diving in the Challenge Cup semi-final victory over Rangers Colts.
Despite all video evidence seemingly clearing him, the fast-track panel kicked out his case – ruling Keatings out of the showpiece against Raith Rovers.
However, that caused widespread outrage and the decision was subsequently quashed in an embarrassing climbdown by the SFA over the weekend.
Our Northern Goal podcast panel react to the Scottish FA’s James Keatings appeal admission:
The governing body stated that those responsible for the ruling “failed to implement (their) duties” and one individual “did not undertake their obligations with respect to the consideration of all the available evidence”.
A new hearing has been hastily arranged for today and Keatings will belatedly find out if he will be available.
