Caley Thistle defender Lewis Toshney will miss a month of action after pulling a quad in the 2-0 loss at Alloa.
Boss John Robertson said: “He’s pulled his quad muscle, he did it in the first minute (against Alloa) and it is a real shame because he’d been showing some great form.”
“It’s just one of these things, he’s played a long ball, felt it immediately and went to move and it seems like it had pulled.”
“Lewis is going to be out for a month which is a blow to us, a blow to the player, but we just have to get on with it. Other teams have had injuries and we’ve had major injuries to a lot of our players, but we’ve had a reasonably strong squad to deal with it.”
Caley Thistle host Queen of the South tonight, with Saturday’s defeat leaving them just two points clear of Ayr United – who go to Dundee – in the Championship’s second position.
