Former Caley Thistle attacking midfielder Dougie Imrie has rejoined newly promoted Hamilton Academical.
The 30-year-old was a free agent following Morton’s relegation to League 1 and had been attracting interest from Ross County amongst others, but Imrie has decided to return to New Douglas Park for a second spell.
After a two-year spell with Hamilton, Imrie joined St Mirren in 2012 before moving on to Morton last summer.
Accies beat Morton 10-2 on the final day of the regular Championship season and Imrie scored both of the Greenock side’s goals in the heavy defeat.
Accies expect to announce more new arrivals this week.
