Caley Thistle captain Richie Foran is eager to make up for lost time by leading by example for manager John Hughes next season.
The Caley Jags midfielder missed the last two months of the season due to a knee operation but having watched his team’s style of play evolve under Hughes fit again Foran is keen to play his part in the new campaign.
The 33-year-old said: “I watched too many games from the stands towards the end of last season, but the team played a lot of good football and I really enjoyed it.
“With every game that went by, the boys were passing it and keeping the ball better, which is what the manager wants.
“The lads have had to change the way they play a little bit, but you could see they were getting more confident, so it’s definitely working.
“We’ve now got six, seven weeks when we come back for pre-season to really work on things, but I’m confident that next season we will be a great team to watch.”
