Caley Thistle manager John Hughes was delighted after Saturday's match
Caley Thistle will complete their preparations for the new season with a pre-season friendly at English Championship club Birmingham City on Saturday, August 2.
The game will pit Caley Jags vice-captain Graeme Shinnie against his brother and former Inverness team-mate Andrew, who left the Highlanders to join the Blues last summer.
The Blues, managed by Lee Clark, avoided relegation on the final day of the season and have appointed former Celtic midfielder Alan Thompson as senior professional development coach at St Andrews.
John Hughes’ side will face Highland opposition as they prepare for their Scottish Premiership opener at Hamilton Accies on August 9.
