Caley Thistle captain Richie Foran’s comeback for the new campaign is likely to be placed on hold as his side play their first game of pre-season at Highland League side Clach tomorrow.
The Inverness captain, who missed the end of the season due to a knee operation, tweaked his knee in training and manager John Hughes will not risk his skipper for the game if he is not 100%.
Hughes plans on rotating his squad for the game with two different 11s playing each half against the Lilywhites.
He said: “The players have returned in great shape, but I’m not surprised as that’s the kind of guys I’ve got here. They’ve all been working on their programmes during the close season and the spirit in the group is great.
“The attitude already has been first class and we only came back on Thursday. Pre-season training is hard work but they are all looking sharp and we’re keen to get some action under our belts. But the most important thing is ensuring we don’t pick up any injuries.”
