Caley Thistle manager John Hughes is confident captain Richie Foran will be fully fit for the start of the season. The 34-year-old missed the end of last season following a knee operation and suffered a setback when he injured the knee in training. But Hughes is confident Foran will be ready when their Scottish Premiership campaign kicks off away to Hamilton on August 9. He said: “Richie Foran is fine but he went down a pothole and aggravated the knee so he is just on a different programme at the moment. “But he will be ready to go for the first game of the season, that’s for sure. “He is in the gym doing more strength and conditioning work and he is out doing a lot of bike work. “He was flying, he’s a lovely runner and at this moment in time he has a good fitness base. “It is just a case of keeping that up, and he will be back training with us in a couple of weeks.”
