Caley Thistle midfielder James Vincent is out to make up for lost time in the new campaign.
The 24-year-old missed four months of last season with a leg injury but played the first 45 minutes of Caley Thistle’s 1-0 win against Raith Rovers on Saturday.
Vincent made 27 appearances in his debut season at the Caledonian Stadium but felt last season’s injury set him back when he returned midway through the campaign.
He said: “I started the season and played the first 10 or so games but, unfortunately, I fractured my leg and was out for four months.
“I managed to get into the team again at the end of the season but I never got up to the pace I set at the start of the season. I’m looking to get going again.”
Vincent netted an early penalty in Wednesday’s 2-0 win against Brora Rangers, to get off the scoring mark in pre-season.
