Caley Thistle have signed Accrington Stanley striker Joe Hardy on loan until the end of the season.
Hardy came through the youth ranks at Brentford, before a haul of 40 goals in 80 appearances for the Bees’ reserve team saw him snapped up by Liverpool in January 2020.
He was handed his professional debut the following month, in a 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.

Although he was named in Liverpool’s 25-man first team squad for the 2020-21 season, he did not feature further for the Reds first team.
He netted a return of six goals in 12 outings for Liverpool’s under-23 team, but made the switch to Stanley when his contract expired last summer.
A calf injury has prevented Hardy from featuring for the English League One outfit thus far however, and after returning to full training in November the 23-year-old will now look to build up game time with the Highlanders.
Hardy becomes Billy Dodds’ third signing of the January window, following the loan captures of Sam Pearson and Logan Chalmers.
