Caley Thistle left back Graeme Shinnie is set to leave Inverness, according to his agent.
The 23-year-old’s agent, Clive Hart, says the defender has turned down a contract extension and will seek a new challenge in the summer.
The news could prompt Aberdeen to move for the full back. The Dons are understood to be monitoring the situation of the Scotland under-21 international closely.
Hart said: “I have told Inverness that Graeme will be leaving. “Inverness offered Graeme a new contract but we turned it down.
“Graeme has had some great times at Inverness and is really enjoying his football under John Hughes.
“He wants to try something, whether that be in England or Scotland.
“Graeme remains 100 per cent committed to Inverness and will continue to give his all to ensure he leaves on a high.”
