Caley Thistle manager John Hughes expects today’s opponents Partick Thistle to challenge for a top six place in the Premiership.
Partick defeated Inverness 3-1 in Glasgow the last time the sides met in September, a result which ended a five-match unbeaten run during which Caley Thistle did not concede a goal.
Hughes has warned his side to be wary of a repeat of Partick’s performance that day and said: “We know we’re going to be up against it because last time we played Partick they beat us.
“I read the other day they fancy themselves for the top six and I don’t doubt that. They’re good enough.
“They’ve got technically-good players, a physical edge and experience. They’ll be coming up here fancying their chances.
“We are unbeaten at home and I want to keep that going.
“There’s plenty of ingredients in the pot for a good match. I hope it’s end-to-end but we win.”
Inverness are at full strength, barring captain Richie Foran who is stepping up his recovery from two knee operations.
Hughes said: “He’s been doing a lot of training – it’s like a mini pre-season.
“He’s been working hard. We’re looking for no reaction before stepping it up. Hopefully he’ll be with us again soon.”
