Inverness Caley Thistle have confirmed that there will be no set price for the St Johnstone game at the end of this month – instead fans will be offered the chance to ‘pay what you can’.
The game, on Tuesday, January 20th, is believed to be the first ever top flight match to run such an offer.
The scheme follows a similar project by League Two side Albion Rovers who offered fans the chance to ‘pay what you can’ for a match against Montrose last season which attracted a crowd of 718.
Albion Rovers extended the scheme this campaign with a ‘pay what you can’ season ticket.
The Caley Thistle website confirmed that “For this game there are no fixed admission charges – simply pay what you can at the turnstiles. Advance tickets are available and will prevent queueing at the turnstiles.”
