Caley Thistle Women’s three-game unbeaten run came to an end as they were defeated 3-1 on the road at Livingston in the SWF Championship.

The Caley Jags were 2-0 down at half-time after goals from Livi’s Ashley Elizabeth and Shannon Mulligan in the 26th and 39th minute.

Caley Thistle pulled one back when Iona MacArthur scored from close range in the 47th minute, but Jess Murphy added another for the home side just two minutes later.

Inverness travelled to the Tony Macaroni Arena with a depleted squad, with manager Karen Mason only able to name two substitutes for the clash with the league leaders.

Prior to the defeat to Livingston, Caley were unbeaten in their last three games, after wins against Hutchison Vale and Dryburgh Athletic and a 0-0 draw with Renfrew.

Aberdeen Women loanee Hannah Innes made her mark on her debut for SWF Championship side Dryburgh Athletic with a player of the match performance.

Innes set up Megan Robb for Dryburgh’s first goal, as the Dundee side beat Rossvale 3-0 to progress to the final of the SWF Championship and League One Cup.

Dryburgh progressed to the semi-final – despite getting beat by Inverness in the quarter-final – after Caley were kicked out the cup for fielding an ineligible player.

In SWF League One, Torry outfit Grampian Ladies beat St Mirren 4-2 at Banks o’ Dee’s Spain Park to move onto 21 points in fifth place.
