Inverness Caley Thistle youngster Ryan Christie has capped a dream season by being named on the shortlist for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award.
Christie is joined on the shortlist by one other player from the Premiership and two from the Championship in the shape of Celtic defender Jason Denayer and Hearts duo Sam Nicholson and Jamie Walker.
20-year-old Christie has established himself as a regular in the Caley Jags team this season, making 36 appearances and scoring four goals for John Hughes’ men, while Hughes has described his as “the best young kid, technically, that I’ve worked with.”
Christie will be aiming to become the first Caley Thistle player to win the award which was won by former Dundee United defender Andrew Robertson last season.
The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at a star-studded dinner at the Hilton Glasgow on Sunday, May 3, for the awards ceremony sponsored by Cheque Centre currency exchange.
