The champagne is flowing in Inverness today as the city turns out to celebrate with their Scottish Cup heroes.
The Caley Jags made history yesterday as James Vincent’s 86th minute Hampden winner secured the club’s first ever Scottish Cup.
In a dramatic game at Hampden, Inverness took a first half lead through a Marley Watkins 38th minute strike, however, John Hughes’ side were reduced to 10 men in the 74th minute when Carl Tremarco was sent off.
Falkirk took full advantage, equalising just six minutes later but Vincent was the hero with just four minutes to go, tapping home the winner after Jamie MacDonald could only parry Watkins’ effort.
The players and supporters celebrated in both Glasgow and Inverness yesterday but the real celebrations were saved for today.
Thousands of people have lined the streets of the Highland capital as an open top bus takes the players, management and famous old trophy through the city.
After a a rather wet and miserable day throughout Scotland, the sun even popped out to join in the celebrations.
