Caley Thistle have offered trialist Andrea Mbuyi-Mutombo a contract.
The forward has been training with Caley Jags, impressing manager John Hughes when he played in Inverness’ 1-0 friendly win against Nairn County this month.
Hughes is keen to add further options to his forward line, with Dani Lopez and Richie Foran his only senior attackers at present, following the departure of Edward Ofere at the end of last season.
Mbuyi-Mutombo is a full DR Congo international despite being born in Brussels and winning three caps for Belgium’s under-19 side.
The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at Belgian outfit Anderlecht, moving on to then English Premier League side Portsmouth in 2007.
After leaving Pompey, he had spells with Belgian sides Standard Liege and Cercle Brugge before moving to Croatia with HNK Rijeka in 2012.
Mbuyi-Mutombo spent last season between Croatian side NK Istra 1961 and French third-tier outfit EFC Frejus Saint-Raphael.
Hughes decided against offering former Havant and Waterlooville forward J.J. Hooper earlier in pre-season, with the Englishman having since gone on trial with lower league sides Dunfermline and Raith Rovers.
