Caley Thistle forward Miles Storey says he has not yet considered where his future lies beyond the summer.
Storey is currently on loan from English League 1 side Swindon Town, and is Inverness’ leading scorer with eight goals in 17 appearances.
The 22-year-old last week agreed to extend his temporary deal until the end of the season, but Storey faces an uncertain future, with his contract at his parent club set to expire in the summer.
Storey says that is no concern to him, and he is primarily focused on continuing to find the net for Caley Jags.
He said: “I’ve had a good start at Inverness.
“I always thought if I played consecutive games I would score some goals.
“Now, because I’m playing regularly, things are starting to happen more naturally on the pitch, whether that’s stuff with my feet or the runs I’m making.
“Hopefully I can do the same again. I’m just trying to help the team out.
“I’m starting to understand how to make the runs better. Hopefully my overall game just gets better as the season goes on.
“I know it’s a bit of a cliché but I enjoy working hard for the team and working with the team day-in, day-out, because it’s a good bunch of lads.
“If I can just continue and try to score some important goals for us, that’s all I’m thinking about. I’m just looking at this season, I’m not really thinking about next year.”
While Storey will remain with Inverness until the end of the season, one forward who will not play any further part for John Hughes’ side is Spanish attacker Dani Lopez, who has been released after failing to make an impression since joining last summer.
Lopez scored just one goal in 10 appearances, while the 30-year-old was also suspended by the club in November for allegedly spitting on St Johnstone player Neil Martyniuk in a Development League match at Caledonian Stadium.
