Cove Rangers have boosted their squad for the coming season by completing the signing of Peterhead midfielder Jordon Brown, while winger Ryan Stott left to join Formartine United.
Brown, who made 40 appearances for the Blue Toon last term, has signed a pre-contract agreement on a three-year deal.
Cove manager John Sheran said: “We have chased Jordon in previous seasons and now we’ve managed to get him so we’re delighted.
“We had his brother Jason on loan from Peterhead two seasons ago now but Jordon is a midfielder who likes to get forward to support the strikers. He also pops up with his fair share of goals so we think he will be a good addition to the squad.
“He fits the mould. He has lots of experience with Peterhead and he’s based in Aberdeen.
“He is only 25 and has a good attitude so we think he will fit in well with the rest of the guys.
“He already knows a number of the guys and we know he’ll fit in well from that point of view.
“We are going to have another hugely difficult season in the Highland League. It will be even tougher this year as everybody will be strengthening once again.”
Stott has joined Formartine on a two-year deal.
Russell Anderson, assistant manager of the Pitmedden side, said: “Ryan comes with the experience of winning the league so he has been over the course before and that will help us generally as a squad.
“He has great ability and we feel it is a really good signing.
“He can play in a couple of different positions.
“He has a really good attitude and great pace, which is something every team needs.
“I know whoever we are playing he will be keen to do well.”
