Peterhead have completed the signing of Bulgarian Danail Ivanov.
The Blue Toon have received Fifa approval for the transfer of the 18-year-old winger and now boss Jim McInally plans to loan him to a Highland League side until the new year.
Ivanov had arrived in Scotland this summer to study computer science at Aberdeen University.
A number of teams expressed an interest in the former FC Cherno More Varna player, but he has chosen to join Peterhead after training with them for a number of weeks.
Balmoor gaffer McInally is pleased to have completed the deal and revealed a number of Highland League teams have already shown an interest in taking the young Bulgarian on loan until January.
He said: “It’s good that everything with Danail is sorted out.
“Now we can see about sending him out on loan to the Highland League until January.
“I’ve had four clubs getting in touch already to inquire so that’s encouraging.
“Danail has been training with us for a wee while now and he knows the standards we expect at the club.
“He was at our game on Saturday and saw us winning (2-0 against Raith Rovers) so that was good.
“I think he is also recognising the difference between League 1 and League 2 having also trained and played bounce games with Brechin earlier in the season.”
