Peterhead manager Jim McInally is having to be patient in his pursuit of his number one signing target, Elgin City attacker Shane Sutherland.
The 23 year old former Inverness Caledonian Thistle front man has been offered a new deal at Borough Briggs however he has stalled on signing it due to interest from the Blue Toon and other sides.
McInally reckons Sutherland is hoping to land a full time deal before looking at his side as he explained: “Shane is a player I am keen on and I will remain keen on him until I hear that he has signed elsewhere.
“He wants to get back to full time football and we have to sit tight and see if it happens for him. We have good attackers at the club already in Rory McAllister, Andy Rodgers and Fraser McLaren and if we could add Shane we would certainly be creating tremendous competition for a starting jersey.”
