Peterhead have asked supporters not to gather outside Balmoor Stadium before tomorrow’s Buchan derby with Fraserburgh.
The local rivals meet in a friendly which has to be played behind closed doors because of Covid-19 restrictions.
Meetings between the Blue Toon and the Broch, even for friendlies, traditionally draw a good crowd.
However, no-one can be admitted to the ground and Peterhead general manager Martin Johnston has appealed to supporters to stay away.
He said: “We know this is a game that even as a pre-season friendly usually attracts lots of interest and pulls a crowd. But there is no point in people turning up and trying to get in because they won’t get in, we can’t let them in.
“We’ve spoken to the police and even if there is a congregation within the car park they will be moved on. So we’re appealing to fans of both clubs to stay away from this Buchan derby because of the rules.”
For those who wish to watch the game Peterhead hope to have their online streaming service operational for tomorrow’s fixture.
The Blue Toon are setting up a streaming service through their website which would allow supporters to pay to watch the action from home.
Johnston added: “However, the good news I do have is that we are working furiously to get our online streaming service up and running. So hopefully anybody who wants to will be able to pay to watch a stream of the game tomorrow through our website.
“We’re doing everything we can to ensure that happens to allow fans to watch the Buchan derby.”
