Ross County have confirmed their first pre-season fixture with Derek Adams arranging to take his side to Borough Briggs to face Elgin City.
The Staggies will face the League 2 side on Saturday, July 19 in what will be the Black and Whites’ final warm-up game for the new campaign.
County manager Derek Adams, who made his first signing of the summer with the pre-contract capture of Joe Cardle from Raith Rovers, is planning more local matches for the club’s supporters to watch their team.
He said: “We’ve spoken to some Highland League clubs and are in the process of finalising our fixtures, and hopefully we will be in a position to confirm the other games soon.”
The County manager is also deliberating whether to take his squad away to Holland for the third summer in a row after expressing concerns the last two years have resulted in red cards for his players which have forced County to start the campaign with players suspended.
Barry Wilson’s team will also host Inverness Caley Thistle on July 12.
