Ross County manager Jim McIntyre reckons goalkeeper Scott Fox’s new contract is a sign of stability for next season.
Fox agreed to add an extra year to his contract on Wednesday, which keeps him at Victoria Park until 2019.
The 29-year-old joins Alex Schalk, Craig Curran, Marcus Fraser and Ryan Dow in agreeing new deals and McIntyre believes the former Partick Thistle goalkeeper has proven a valuable addition since joining in summer 2015.
McIntyre said: “It’s important we keep our key players. Scott came to us looking to extend his contract. He has loved his time here, likes the way we work. Equally, he’s been a fantastic signing for us.
“He’s a model professional in the way he leads his life on and off the park and in the job he does on a Saturday. He’s a solid Premiership goalkeeper. He makes saves that earn us points.
“Scott makes key, crucial saves that maybe we don’t expect three or four times a season.”
