Owen Coyle is the name at the top of the list as potentials for a new Ross County manager.
Here are six things you might not know about him.
1 – Owen Coyle achieved promotion five times as a player with Airdrie, Bolton Wanderers, Dundee United, Falkirk and Airdrie United.
2 – He was born in Paisley but represented the Republic of Ireland.
3 – A striker in his playing days, Coyle scored 291 goals in a career spanning 700 games.
4 – The secret of his success? A fish supper and a can of IRN-BRU. Every Friday before every game.
5 – In 2000 he made an appearance in Scottish football film A Shot at Glory starring Robert Duvall, Michael Keaton, Brian Cox and Ally McCoist.
6 – As manager he came out of retirement to play for Burnley reserves on April 9, 2009, scoring in a 2-0 win against Accrington Stanley to help them win the Reserve League title. He played again in November 2010 at the age of 44 for Bolton Wanderers in a friendly against Cliftonville of Northern Ireland. It was his first appearance for Bolton in 15 years and he capped his return by scoring in the 2-0 win.
