Ross County have confirmed the signing of former Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain striker David Ngog.

The 28-year-old Frenchman has signed a contract until the end of the season after recently leaving Greek side Panionios.

Ngog played under County boss Owen Coyle at Bolton Wanderers, after a £4m switch from Liverpool in 2011, and had been on trial with the Staggies over the winter break.

Coyle said: “I’m delighted to bring a player of David’s calibre to Ross County.

“Having worked with him before at Bolton, I am all too familiar with his qualities and I think he will be an excellent addition to our attacking options.”

Ngog scored 19 times in 94 matches for Liverpool between 2008 and 2011. After moving to Bolton, he scored 16 times in 91 matches.

The striker, who has been capped at U21 level for France, started his career with PSG and has also had spells with Swansea and Stade de Reims.
