Ross County captain Andrew Davies’ header earned his side a point against Hamilton Accies at Victoria Park.
The Staggies led 1-0 at half-time but two goals in three second half minutes turned the game in Accies’ favour before Davies headed an equaliser in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Ross County co-managers Stuart Kettlewell and Stevie Ferguson made six changes following the 3- loss to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park last weekend.
Max Melbourne, Michael Gardyne, Jim O’Brien, David N’Gog and Ryan Dow dropped to the bench while Davis Keillor-Dunn missed out.
Tim Chow, Chris Routis, Alex Schalk, Jamie Lindsay, Billy Mckay and fit-again captain Andrew Davies came into the starting 11.
Hamilton boss Martin Canning named the same 11 which beat Motherwell 2-0 in the Lanarkshire derby last weekend.
County started brightly and the only surprise was that it took them until midway through the first half to make the breakthrough.
Schalk had a strong penalty claim turned down before he missed a great chance when he headed straight at Accies goalkeeper Gary Woods but the goal the home side craved came when Mckay laid the ball off into the path of Jason Naismith.
The full back’s shot was blocked but Lindsay ran on to the ball before driving into the box and firing past Woods.
County were well worth their interval lead but two goals in three minutes at the start of the second half turned the game in Hamilton’s favour.
The equaliser came from the spot after Accies forward Lewis Davidson was tripped in the box by Christopher Routis. Dougie Imrie, a half-time substitute, converted the spot kick when he sent Aaron McCarey the wrong way.
By the 52nd minute Accies were in front as McCarey let a Marios Ogkmpoe shot squirm under his body and into the net.
The Staggies were stunned but captain Davies levelled the game with 15 minutes remaining when he headed Schalk’s corner past Woods to set-up a grandstand finish.
