Ross County defender Callum Semple has been charged with betting on football matches.
Semple was issued with a notice of complaint today by the Scottish FA for bets made between the period of July 1 and March 1, in which he also played for Queen of the South on loan from Sheffield United.
The January signing has until March 18 to respond to the charge, with a principal hearing date set for March 28.
Semple has made three appearances for the Staggies since leaving Sheffield United in the January transfer window. He previously made 27 appearances on loan at Queens during the first half of the campaign.
He came on as a stoppage-time substitute for Don Cowie in County’s 2-1 win over Falkirk on Tuesday night in Dingwall.
