Ross County could request a postponement of Saturday’s Premiership fixture away to Livingston after an illness bug decimated the Staggies’ squad.
County cancelled training this morning after 10 players reported sick on top of four who are already injured, leaving only eight players fit – two of which are goalkeepers Nathan Baxter and Ross Laidlaw.
The bulk of the affected players have reported symptoms of the norovirus vomiting bug, with County sending home all remaining players today in fear of the illness spreading further.
Staggies co-managers Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell will monitor the condition of their squad over the upcoming 24 hours. With the many of County’s development players currently out on loan, the Staggies could be forced to draft in teenagers who are still at school to make up the numbers should the situation fail to improve.
