Carl Tremarco has joined Ross County on a one-year deal following his release by rivals Caley Thistle.
English defender Tremarco has been without a club since being let go by Inverness earlier this summer, which ended his seven-year spell at Caledonian Stadium.
The defender made 204 appearances for Caley Jags, and was part of the side which lifted the Scottish Cup in 2015.
County manager Stuart Kettlewell has now moved to sign the 34-year-old to end his search for an experienced left back, with teenager Josh Reid having been the only recognised player in the position.
Kettlewell said: “Carl has great experience in the game- he has played at some very good levels and everybody knows his talents.
“As well as being a player here, Carl will be able to use his experience in helping to develop our youngsters including Josh Reid who plays in a similar position and Carl will be a wise, older head in the camp.
“It’s no secret we were looking to strengthen in the full back areas, and we feel we have now done that and managed to bring in the right amount of quality and experience going in to the new season.”
Tremarco will join a number of former Inverness team-mates at Victoria Park, including Ross Draper, Billy Mckay, Iain Vigurs, Joe Chalmers and Coll Donaldson.
