Iain Vigurs has been named the new captain of Ross County.
Vigurs has made more than 200 appearances for the club and replaces Marcus Fraser, who left in the summer.
His deputy will be defender Callum Morris, who signed a new contract with the Staggies to remain at the club.
Vigurs is in his second spell at the Dingwall club, after rejoining from Inverness in 2018. He first played for the club between 2009 and 2013, again after leaving Caley Thistle.
Manager Stuart Kettlewell said: “We have purposefully taken our time to identify our next captain and his vice. Given how well Marcus has previously handled the captaincy it was important for the players, staff and club, that we appointed people who continued that, and understand the club, its culture and what it means to play for Ross County FC.
“Iain has been an absolutely tremendous servant to this football club and having played with and managed him, I know he 100 per cent understands the club and leaves everything he has inside of him out on the field. Callum also shares the same values and is a really mature and sensible head that has a lot of respect already within our dressing room.
“It’s really exciting for the two guys but, equally for us all, as we head in to a new chapter.”
