Ross County have released Lee Erwin from his contract, with the striker completing a move to Premiership rivals St Mirren.
Erwin joined the Staggies last summer following a spell with Iranian club Tractor, but his time in Dingwall got off to a disrupted start through registration problems followed by a hamstring injury.
After regaining fitness just before Christmas, Erwin made 23 appearances, but netted just once.
Staggies manager Stuart Kettlewell says the 26-year-old, who is from Bellshill, was keen to move closer to his family..
Kettlewell said: “Lee had come to me and had a very honest conversation in regard to his family situation. We are all human and all have various situations going on in our lives.
“We are very understanding of where he needed to be and like any of us family always has to come first.
“Lee leaves with nothing but the best wishes of me, my staff and the squad.”
