Ross County manager Derek Adams hopes to re-sign midfielder Graham Carey in time for Sunday’s opening Scottish Premiership fixture against St. Johnstone.
Carey left the Staggies at the end of last season after joining from St. Mirren 12 months ago, however the Irishman teamed up with County again for their pre-season training camp in Holland last week.
After the signings of Filip Kiss, Uros Celcer and Rosario Latouchent yesterday, Adams has now set his sights on having 25 year-old Carey in place ahead of Sunday’s game at Victoria Park.
Adams said: “We are trying to conclude a deal for Graham before the weekend.
“He’s the one player we’re looking to try and add before Sunday, so we are probably looking at a squad of 20 for the start of the season.”
Carey made 38 appearances for the Staggies last term, scoring three times.
