Free agent Paul Quinn has joined Ross County on trial after failing to agree a deal with Hibs.
The former Scotland under-21 international spent last week training with the Easter Road outfit and appeared destined to become the club’s 10th signing of the season.
However, the parties failed to come to an agreement and Quinn has joined up with County in an effort to win a contract with the Premiership side.
The versatile defender, who boasts 181 appearances in Scottish football with Motherwell, will train with County for the rest of the week as manager Jim McIntyre weighs up a move.
Quinn departed Fir Park for Cardiff City in 2009, spending three years in South Wales before moving to Doncaster Rovers in 2012. He left the Keepmoat Stadium by mutual consent in the summer despite being contracted to the club until 2015.
