Ross County fell to a 2-0 defeat against Szolnoki MAV on Saturday in the final game of their pre-season trip to Hungary.
A double from forward Zsolt Gajdos helped the Hungarian second-tier side triumph at the Globall football park.
County began the brighter of the sides and nearly took the lead with Northern Irish forward Liam Boyce sending a header off the post.
English attacker Craig Curran was also in the thick of the action, shooting straight at Szolnoki goalkeeper Peter Pokorni before nodding just wide of target.
The hosts grabbed the breakthrough five minutes before half-time when County defender Marcus Fraser failed to intercept a long ball, with Gajdos curling the ball past trialist goalkeeper Jonathan Henly and into the bottom corner.
The impressive Gajdos then made it 2-0 midway through the second-half, when he ran through the heart of the County defence before unleashing a powerful shot which went in off the post.
Former Dundee United attacker Brian Graham had the ball in the net in the latter stages, however his header was ruled out for offside.
The defeat was County’s first loss of their pre-season campaign, with the Dingwall side playing their final warm-up match against Ducth club NEC Nijmegen at Victoria Park on Saturday.
