Ross County midfielder Jackson Irvine is a transfer target for newly promoted Championship club Burton Albion.
Burton gained automatic promotion to the Championship after finishing second in League 1 last year, two points behind Wigan Athletic.
Burton manager Nigel Clough is keen on Irvine and had the Australia international watched last season. Irvine, who won the SPFL’s player of the month award for March, still has a year to run on his contract at the Staggies.
New Rotherham United manager Alan Stubbs is also believed to be an admirer of Irvine and may attempt to make the 23-year-old from Melbourne one of his first recruits for the Millers.
