Ross County manager Jim McIntyre says there will be more arrivals to come at Victoria Park this summer.
McIntyre has already made four signings – Irish goalkeeper Aaron McCarey, Slovakian right back Erik Cikos, Dutch left back Kenny van der Weg and French midfielder Christopher Routis last month.
County begin pre-season training tomorrow, and although McIntyre is pleased with the way his squad is shaping up, the manager remains on the lookout for more new faces.
McIntyre said: “We still have a bit of work to do. We are trying to get a couple more signings in but I’m pleased with where we are.
“When we have the nucleus of a good side and have players tied up then we just need to add good players to add to what we already have.”
Although County finished sixth in the Premiership last season, the Dingwall side conceded 61 goals, and McIntyre said strengthening his defence was his priority this summer. McIntyre added: “The signings we have made will make us stronger.
“We’ve got to concede fewer goals than last year – that’s the reason we brought in a natural left-sided player in Kenny van der Weg. We also brought in Erik Cikos, who I knew from the last time he played at Ross County and he spent the last two weeks of the season with us. Once we get him fit it’ll be good competition for Marcus Fraser.
“We’ve got good competition for places and I’m pleased with that.”
