Aberdeen duo Michael Devlin and Gary Mackay-Steven, and Celtic attacker Ryan Christie have been called into the Scotland squad for tomorrow’s friendly against Portugal at Hampden.
The trio replace defenders Charlie Mulgrew, John Souttar, Kieran Tierney and midfielder Robert Snodgrass who all drop out of the squad which lost 2-1 to Israel in the Uefa Nations League on Thursday.
Mulgrew and Souttar, who was sent off in Haifa, suffered injuries in the game while Snodgrass has failed to recover from a knock suffered in training.
Tierney has been rested due to his club commitments with Celtic.
Devlin and Mackay-Steven will join Dons team-mates Graeme Shinnie and Scott McKenna in Alex McLeish’s squad for tomorrow’s game which kicks off at 5pm while former Caley Thistle attacker Christie, now at Celtic, spent the last 18 months on loan at Pittodrie.
